Talking to Popbuzz, he said just weeks ago, 'When kids are bigger, they struggle to get their core balance.

'He's so tall, he's like lanky. He's blowing around the place. He gets really frustrated.'

Liam and Cheryl dote on their pride and joy so much, that they even turn to him to be a music critic when it comes to their pop music.

According to CheriamNews, Liam told ABC Radio: 'He is like a good bop check... if it's a bop, he will go for it.

'Just hanging out going, "Yeah, I like that one, but this one doesn't really do it for me".'

Liam is currently promoting his latest single, Familiar, a collaboration with J Balvin and Cheryl is back in the studio recording new tracks.

But on Tuesday, Liam revealed that being in One Direction 'nearly killed him', and the idea of becoming famous in his solo venture was just as petrifying.

Cheryl has been enjoying the exclusive Cannes Film Festival along with a host of famous faces. The singer attended the 'Ash Is Purest White' premiere in a stunning gown by Zuhair Murad.

Hailing from the brand’s resort 2018 collection, this floor-length piece features a high neckline, beaded sheer overlay and lace detailing. The white colourway adds to the elegant feel, while the nude slip covers Cheryl’s modesty.

She teamed her dress with nude sandals, diamond jewellery and a red lip for a classic approach, which we can’t fault!

The singer - who first found fame at 14, when he appeared on The X Factor - admitted he worried about carving out a solo career when the boy band went on hiatus in 2015 because he wasn't sure he still wanted to be 'famous'.

Asked to recall his hardest emotional battle, Liam - who performed in One Direction alongside Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and previously, Zayn Malik - confessed: 'I've had a few, there have been some tough times.'

Talking to KISS FM for their Where's Your Head At? campaign, Liam explained:

'When the band started our break I struggled with the idea of becoming famous again, it scared the living daylights out of me. Because the last time it nearly killed me, frankly.

'So I had to figure out a way to make it work for me - rather than me work for it.'
