An insider said: 'He needs somewhere quiet and private a bit out of the way to help him focus on his recovery.

'The new place is exactly that. It will help with his treatment and give him some space away from the limelight.'

The reports come as removal vans were pictured outside the Britain's Got Talent presenter's former home, which he shared with Lisa, however family run Algarve Removals is known for helping their clients relocate from the UK to Portugal and visa versa.

Those close to the star, who stepped down from hosting commitments following his drink-driving arrest, have claimed he has set his sights on returning to the ITV favourite in six months as he makes leaps and bounds during his latest rehab stint.

A source said: 'He did well in rehab... He feels like it has helped.

'That is what he needed, but he does not need any more for the time being. I think he will be back for I’m a Celebrity.'

The reports comes after Ant was back by sidekick Declan Donnelly's side on Tuesday, as the duo were seen enjoying an off-duty day in an English pub garden.

Ant has been back in rehabilitation for drink and drug-related problems, leaving Dec to make his first red carpet appearance alone at this week's BAFTA TV Awards.

Out of the spotlight, the duo are clearly still each other's lives as they were pictured together for the first time in two months in a snap shared by a fan on Twitter on Tuesday.

Though Ant always makes a point of standing on the left of Dec, the fan snap shows the duo off-duty, while enjoying the sun outside a London pub recently.

It comes just a day after Dec picked up an award for the beloved TV duo without his long-time counterpart.

The event marked the presenter's first red carpet appearance without sidekick Ant, as he took a break from presenting duties to enter rehab after being arrested for drink driving in March.

Ant was recently fined a record £86,000 and banned from the road for one year and eight months after pleading guilty to drink-driving.

Last week, he was seen outside rehab following a month of intensive treatment after he admitted himself to a private clinic to battle his drink and painkiller addiction.

But Dec brushed his pal's controversy aside as he took to the BAFTAs stage along with the Britain's Got Talent producers and judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon on Sunday.

In a star-studded evening honouring the best and brightest in TV, the ITV primetime favourite beat out rival Saturday Night Takeaway, which had won the award three times before in 2014, 2015 and 2017.

As the group took to the stage - receiving the award from presenters Claire Balding and Sir Mo Farah - Dec stood by with the judges as one of the producers led their acceptance speech.

The producer accepting the award said: 'Thank you very much to BAFTA thank you very much to ITV. Thank you to all our production team all the crew we're really lucky making this show.

'Thank you to everyone at Thames. Thank you to everyone at Syco. And thank you to all the contestants.'
